Job Description

Pursley Dixon Architecture is an architecture and interior design studio specializing in custom residential work. The Charlotte, North Carolina based firm is seeking an experienced Interior Architect / Designer who will share our passion to build beautiful things.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Work directly with Project Architects to source and select interior materials and architectural elements for each project. This includes hardware, appliances, plumbing, flooring, stone, tile, countertops, etc.
• Assist project team with electrical plans, reflective ceiling plans, and floor finish plans
• Assist project team with interior elevation drawings and detailing of interior millwork
• Verify selections during construction administration phase
• Draw and manage projects that are exclusively interior in scope
• Coordinate with vendors, representatives, and trade showrooms to set up accounts, obtain pricing, stock, delivery, and new product information.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date material library

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced residential interior design firm or trade showroom
• Proficient in Vectorworks, Auto CAD, Sketch-Up, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 365
• Methodical, high attention to detail
• Proactive, ability to understand next steps and follow through
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Collaborative spirit and wiliness to work with others to create legacy works of architecture
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Must love dogs
