Job Description

Porter Teleo is looking for a New York based Territory Sales Representative who will
• Develop and maintain relationships with interior designers, architects, and other professionals in the interiors design industry.
• Promote and sell high-end, hand-painted wallpaper & textiles as well as commercial products inspired by Porter Teleo’s aesthetic.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to clients, offering creative solutions to meet their design needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing client accounts.
• Attend industry events and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective product placement and building and maintaining relationships.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.

Job Requirements

Ideal candidates will demonstrate
• Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the interiors design, hospitality, or luxury good industry.
• Strong understanding of interior design trends and the ability to communicate design concepts effectively.
• Based in NYC and willing to travel throughout the Northeast region.
• Enjoy attending networking events to develop new connections and possible clients.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
• A self-starter that thrives in an entrepreneurial setting and can navigate, set clear priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills allow you to move quickly, and pivot as needed.
• Have a positive, go-getter attitude.
• A “we” not “me” mentality when it comes to working on a team.
• Quick learner.
• Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
• Work independently and communicate with management effectively.
• Flexible in your role as the needs of the business change.
